Ah-Ha Moment!

Have you ever sat in a dark stadium, you look around and can’t see how many people are attending the same concert as you? But then all of a sudden, they turn the lights up, and you realize all the seats are full. You then think, “I had no idea so many people were here.”

This is how I think we see our struggle. It is amazing to me, when I speak at conferences, how many women come up afterwards and pour their hearts out because they were convinced they were the only one who struggled with pride, selfishness, submission, anger, jealously, a wayward child, you name the topic. For some reason, they get it in their head, no one will understand their struggle, and they believe, “I am in this battle alone.” Sister, this is one of the big lies perpetuated on mankind.

Out of 7 billion people on earth, there are many people struggling with a very similar problem as you. The human problem of sin plagues every single one of us, whether we know it or not. If you desire power over your struggle, then you must allow humility to take a hold of your heart, and admit the problem. We are carrying things we were never meant to carry, and humility takes the weight of a burden away.

Therefore, humble yourself, and give your burden to the One who is able to carry it, the Lord. Then find a safe place to share your struggle, a friend or counselor who has walk through a similar struggle. A person who will pray and seek the Lord with you.

I believe the reason Satan doesn’t want us to share our struggles, because he wants us to stay in the dark, and not see the hope that the light brings.

John 1:5

“The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness can never extinguish it.” (NLT)
