To Love As Christ...
Since it is the month of love, I have been thinking a lot about the way we love compared to the way God designed love. The Bible says God is love.
So not only did He define love, He also demonstrated love for us. Look at the verse below, it states that God loved, so therefore, He gave. His actions reveal love in its purist form. His example illustrates how to love, sacrificially.
Loving someone means to give of our self, devote our self, and to die to self. It is only when we love as Christ do we fulfill the purpose of life. For this is the kind of love which delights the spirit, satisfies the soul, and leads to the depths of charity.
John 3:16
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. (ESV)
